Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will just have to keep winning in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as the 75-run loss against Lucknow super Giants really dented their hopes of qualification. There are a few mathematical possibilities and for them to happen, they still have to win a couple of more games. One more loss and KKR will become the third team to be eliminated.

Kolkata haven’t played bad cricket, it’s just that poor auction strategy meant they didn’t have a team that could push for playoffs and whatever they had, the loss of form to key players didn’t help. Two of their retained players just didn’t arrive in the 15th edition of the IPL and constant chopping and changing in search of the best combination just hampered them a little more than it should have.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), on the other hand, looked like having a dream run with five successive wins, but it soon turned into a nightmare with four back-to-back losses. SRH are on the brink and they need to win all three of their remaining games to send shivers down the spine of the teams above them.
Skipper Kane Williamson is struggling with his timing and he soon needs to find the form otherwise, it would be too late for SRH too soon.

Who will win the KKR vs SRH match: With a few players returning to the line-up in the last game and showing signs of their old form, expect Kolkata to beat the Sunrisers to leave them hanging by a thread as well. Sunrisers have looked like a shadow of themselves in the last few games and their batting doesn’t have the depth to chase down high scores even if they have a better middle-order this time around. Unless their bowling restricts the opposition, they are likely to suffer their fifth loss in a row.
